Jude and Lucy.... they took my heart on a wild goose chase through this book. There were scenes so sweet and beautiful I'd melt right into a puddle on the floor, and swoon so hard I didn't think I'd get up. Then there were scenes that had me freaking out and wanting to slap some sense into them. I enjoyed the journey. Every emotional mile. :)

In the 1st book, I could not get enough of that beginning chemistry between Jude and Lucy. But oh my- that boy was a hot mess. In the second book I kinda wanted to slap Lucy in the face. ;) She kills me when she breaks Jude's heart.

In this 3rd book, we're introduced to where Jude and Lucy stand a couple years after we last saw them. Jude gets drafted into the NFL & has his heart on his sleeve begging for Lucy to marry him soon. But Lucy is kinda busy channeling her inner Beyonce trying to prove what an independent woman she is who doesn't need marriage... or a man's money. What?!? Hot guy you love is offering you the moon and you would rather be alone and make your own cheese??? If he says "Marry me today" - she says not yet??

Jude- Pick me! I'll marry you! I'll give up my non-existent dance career for you! I'll have your little Jude babies.
What's that you say? He's not real, this is just a book, and I'm already happily married with kids?
Anywho....

It didn't take long before I understood where Lucy was coming from. I was 100 percent invested & really wanted to see them work out their battles. Fight their inner demons. Grow, mature, and become better people. To stop being jealous, understand each other and get on the same page people! And oh my- maybe I don't remember the other books that well, or maybe J & L just kicked it up a notch in the sheets... but it got pretty steamy throughout this one! <fans herself>

I really loved the writing. The beginning chapter is blatant foreshadowing so hold on to your panties and enjoy the ride. I love how the author tied things together throughout the books. I loved some of the new people we got to meet, and getting to know better some of the ones we've met before. And I loved loved loved the ending.

Enjoy! I know I did. I still can't wipe this huge happy grin off my face.

Crush Crash Nicole Williams Books Reviews

"My life wasn't how I planned it would be. It wasn't even close. It was a thousand times better."

I have to say that I LOVED this trilogy. Jude Ryder is a boyfriend that dreams are made out of. Lucy Larsen - well, she's one lucky chick.

Out of all 3 books, I really struggled with this one until about 75%. I mean what in the world happened to Lucy Larsen?

The book starts with Jude getting recruited to the NFL. Perfect right? WRONG in Lucy's eyes. She's all boo hooing about money changing everything. I get it. I do. She came from a world having had money and now had built a life in a world having not had it. A world where she met Jude, fell in love and learned to love small slum apartments, cheap beer and street vendor food. But give a man a break. She's been engaged to Jude now for 3 years, he wants to give her the world and she fights him every.step.of.the.way.

"What the hell, Luce? What new kind of crazy have you caught?" Good question Jude.

She flies to see him for visits, he's bought a new truck and suddenly she has love for the truck she complained about forever. He bought her a beautiful huge house and suddenly their hovel of an apartment is the perfect home. Hi Jude ***waving hand*** I'll have you...anyway you'll have me.

"Can you be any more infuriating?" Yes Jude, yes she can.

So many times I thought - I should just walk away from this book. Leave myself with good memories of book 1 and 2. But that damn Jude Ryder ALWAYS pulled me back in.

"Would I prefer you to be here with me so I can crawl into bed with you every night? Hell, yeah. But if this is what you need to do, I don't need to understand it to support you along the way."

And that my friends...swoonworthy. THAT is what kept me in this book. It's like Jude grew up and Lucy grew immature.

Look, in Lucy's defense, sure, most women want to make their own way in life. Myself included. But when the perfect life is sitting in front of you, what is so wrong with compromise and just going with it? Instead, Jude spent the whole book begging for her to marry him.

So like I said, I held on. Things started getting better 4th quarter (pun intended) of the book.

"I was starting to get a better grasp on the concept that the world doesn't revolve around Lucy Larson."

Hallelujah! Thank you!

In the end, we get what we want. Because that's what Nicole Williams does. And that's what I love and that is why I am SO glad I stuck with it. It was a beautiful ending.

"That broken boy on the beach seemed like a lifetime ago...but every once in a while when Jude looked over at me and gave me that slow, knowing smile of his, I was that girl in a black string bikini all over again, longing for a boy I never thought could be mine."
