I absolutely loved Tyler: not only was he a hard worker but he was kind, generous, honest, was good with animals and kids, and had confidence and a great sense of humor! I would definitely be interested in a guy like him. This was an amazing book to read and I was sorry that I had finished it. Highly recommend to lovers of romance!

Wow, this might be my favorite Cat book yet. Such strong emotions in this book. What a great love story. So much loss and love, you feel the story drag you in. Hearing about our other favorite Okies is sure a bonus. And for a "Yankee" Cat has the Oklahoma Cowboy mentality down. Our men are polite and open doors and think their mommas are the best women on earth next to their wives. Great story, looking forward to the rest!
This love story was really a great one one for people of all ages. It shows the young that action has a reaction. For the people that had found love and loss that love that you could let yourself love again. That may take time and for some it may not be for them. But when you find that love either the first time or the second, don't let it go.
OH Lordy!! I love this story too much, if that's even possible! I can't stop reading it over and over!! The seriously smoking hot cowboy, Tyler, is absolutely gobsmacked in love at first sight with the slightly older than him, curvy widow, Janie. Now all Tyler has to do is convince Janie she can't live without him...and Tyler never backs down from a sweet sexy challenge wrapped up in a few dozen orgasms to boot! I so love a romantically steamy cowboy story and this book goes way beyond all of my wildest wet dreams!
I don't always write reviews but I just really loved this book. There are some books that just stay with you and I felt this was one of them. The last couple chapters are tear jerkers...at least for me. This is a younger man, older woman story but it almost felt that after what Janie had been through in her life she needed the carefree attitude that Tyler had. Even though he is only 24 he really is much deeper than Janie realizes until the end of the story. What you quickly realize is Tyler may be young but he will love with all he is and all he has. It is a sweet story and I hope we hear more about these two characters in the next installment of this series.
While the story has great appeal and the male character is exactly what a true cowboy should be, I found the female character ridiculously whiny. I truly do understand her concerns but I hit the point that I just wanted to reach into the book and shake her silly. Other than that fact, the book turned out well and I must say it keeps my faith in gentlemen cowboys alive.

I've enjoyed reading all of Cat Johnson's books and this is the first one I've ever had anything negative to say about. Even with that one nagging issue, I still would recommend this book because like I said, there is just something about a cowboy and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I hope she keeps us up to date on the characters from this book, as well.
I think Cat Johnson is a fantastic writer. Her "cowboy" romance books have you sitting on the edge of your chair. The characters are so very real that you feel everything they do, say, or feel themselves. This story is a real type of story that happens more than we know. This is going to be be a great series, so saddle up for the ride!!!!

What I love about Cat Johnson's books is that she never disappoints me and Midnight Ride is no exception.

Janie is the "older woman" in this relationship and Cat expertly weaved through all of the emotions that were felt by Janie and by Tyler with this in their minds. Tyler didn't get off to the best start with Janie but as the story unfolded, it was obvious that there was so much more to Tyler now that he had met Janie. He was so protective of her and the way he went about looking after her and helping her out was heart warming.

The added bonus to this story was seeing more of Tyler's brother, Tucker (One night with a Cowboy) and some of the other characters from the Oklahoma Night's series.

Janie and Tyler's story was absolutely beautiful. Their slow burning romance left me smitten and content. Fantastic writing, distinctive and romantic storyline, and an emotional pull that kept me hooked from page one.

I can't wait to read Rohn's story in Midnight Wrangler!
